Your gear, finally catalogued in full
Kinkventory is an inventory for your own gear collection — from a knee pad to a full-body suit. Photograph an item, fill the gaps through short questions, then build outfits and packing lists for your dates. All on the iPhone, without an account.
Your photos stay with you. The collection lives in your iPhone's app container, encrypted and unreadable while the device is locked. It never appears in your photo library. Automatic recognition is off by default — only once you switch it on and confirm each analysis does a downscaled photo, stripped of location data, leave the device. It is evaluated there and not stored.
What the app does
- Capture in secondsTake a photo; category and attributes come back as a suggestion. Anything you have confirmed is never overwritten.
- Questions, not formsWhat is still missing arrives as a short question with a progress ring — instead of an empty field nobody ever fills in.
- Outfits, recordedPut ideas together, add photos of the worn outfit, and see what is still missing for next time.
- Packing lists for eventsAn outfit plus a date becomes a list — including the care products everyone leaves at home.
- Storage with NFCTap the box, see what is inside. The storage tree knows where everything lives.
- Receipts and valuesRead purchase receipts, track prices and a care log, see statistics across the collection.
- Backup in one fileAn encrypted export of the whole collection including photos, with your password. Optional sync through your own iCloud.
- DiscreetApp lock with Face ID, an unremarkable icon, no preview image in the app switcher.
What it looks like
What recognition costs
The app itself is free, and so is everything that runs on the device: capture, questions, outfits, packing lists, storage, backup. The only thing that costs money is automatic image recognition, because every run consumes compute at a model provider.
You pay for it with credits rather than a subscription: buy once, use them up, done — no plan that keeps charging long after the collection is complete. A free allowance is included so you can try it.
The app is rated 16+. It shows no advertising, tracks no behaviour across apps or websites, and has no feed, no user profiles and no contact between users.
