Please do not send photos from your collection to support — an app problem never needs them. Tell us what you did and what happened instead, plus your iOS version.
Common questions
Do I need an account?
No. The app works without registration. For credits it keeps a random identifier that contains no name.
What does the app cost?
The app is free. Only automatic image recognition is paid for, with credits rather than a subscription. A free allowance is included so you can try it.
Does the app work without image recognition?
Entirely. Capture, the question catalogue, outfits, packing lists, storage, receipts, statistics and backup all run on the device. Without recognition you enter category and attributes yourself.
Do my photos leave the device?
Only if you switch image recognition on and confirm the individual analysis. A downscaled version without location data then goes for evaluation and is not stored. Details in the privacy policy.
How do I back up my collection?
Through the encrypted export in the settings — one file with everything, photos included, protected by your password. Keep that password: without it the file cannot be restored, not even by us.
What happens when I get a new iPhone?
Create a backup on the old device and import it on the new one. Alternatively switch on the optional iCloud sync — note that it does not carry photos; that is what the export is for.
Can I share my collection?
Not at present. If sharing arrives, it will be private, between people who know each other, over iCloud — not a feed and not public.
How do I delete everything?
Remove the app from the device. That removes the collection, because it only ever lived there. For ledger data under your account identifier, write to datenschutz-kinkventory@udysseus.com.
Recognition returns nonsense — what now?
The app never overwrites what you have confirmed, so you can correct everything by hand. If a second attempt against a plain background does not help either, write to us naming the category involved — that is what helps improve recognition.
